The Tasting Room

AN INTIMATE APPROACH TO WINE, FOOD AND HOSPITALITY IN UPTOWN MINNEAPOLIS

We like to say "come for the wine and stay for the food." The Tasting Room is the tale of two friends, a sommelier & a Chef, whose passion for elevated culinary experiences were brought together in Uptown Minneapolis. Chef Brandon Randolph & Sommelier Nico Giraud met 15 years ago and have been cooking and pulling corks together ever since. When the opportunity to take over The Tasting Room rose, it was natural for the two friends to make it their new home.

Nico’s destiny was to be part of the wine and food world. Born in Burgundy, he was raised in Champagne & Provence, he grew up among an epicurean family where wine had an important place on the dining room table. After graduation from the University of Aix-en-Provence, Nico moved to Paris working notably at Le Taillevent and then for Alain Ducasse at l’Hostellerie de l’Abbaye de La Celle in Provence.
